    Can anyone explain to me where "on error resume next" would EVER be a good idea?
    I seem to remember once there was some VB function that always worked, but always threw a spurious error. Rather than having error handling that picked through for the 'real' errors, we just ignored that, and relied on the next step to tell us if it had worked or not. Can't remember what function it was though, sorry.

    I love that MonthName and GetMonthName are identical, even down to the commented out line, which suggests that somebody saw the first function that did exactly what they wanted and decided to copy/paste the function and give it a new name. Clearly they don't understand the purpose of functions.

    Hey, it makes perfect sense! What if the application needed to display the date on more places, not just one? So it's logical that we need another function because the first one is already used up! You have clearly forgotten tho take in consideration this situation.
