Although it's not coding, Max M. sent in this story that I just couldn't pass up ...

Due to the high-security requirements of our organization, we require that all incoming and outgoing webservices go through a secure VPN tunnel. Normally, this isn't a problem. We have our network guys talk to their network guys, they do their thing, and us developers can't even tell the difference.

There was one vendor that we were having a particularly difficult time setting up. They were able to access our web service by IP address, but not by DNS name. It got to the point where we had such a hard time believing that they couldn't access our webservice by name, that we asked the network admin to send us a screenshot.

We thought it was a bit odd that we had to tell him to type "nslookup webservices.initech-global.com," but didn't quite expect him to send back this. Needless to say, their programmers seemed to program as well as their network guys setup networks.
