    Indeed, exactly like you're using the term "Americans" to refer to people from the USA rather from North America or South America. Ironic, isn't it, and we haven't even moved on to a certain native American misnomer yet.

    I often ask people "which one?" when they refer to America.

    On the other "native American" topic, aren't people like Mexicans also Native Americans?

    Which is extra funny because "Wales" is from an Old English word meaning "foreigners". The funny continues because the Welsh were natives to Britain and the Anglo-Saxons were invaders, yet the Welsh got called foreigners. Actually, they also migrated at some point from mainland Europe in pre-Roman times. Basically, we're all assholes.
