    I suppose black wasn't really Modano's colour.

Not seeing the problem here. -$21,693,754.81 is less than $25.

I'd flip flop all over that thmbnail.

I'm not seeing the problem with the salami. If you can't afford the full $3.99, ask the grocer if he'll sell you just one penny's worth. That should still be plenty.

  • Zunesis guy (unregistered)

My salami costs $0.00 per inch and I have ten dollars worth!

  • Paul (unregistered)

Modano, there's a price range on those flip-flops. Doubtless she comes free with the $58.00 package.

  • Jeff (unregistered)

Mike, unfortunately I think a hacker guessed your ATM teller machine PIN identification number. TRWTF is an ATM that let him withdraw over 21 million dollars.

    and 81 cents.

  • Jerry (unregistered)

Clearly Karsten is an old person who doesn't understand modern computing paradigms. You're not supposed to read the words. (Cancel... or cancel) You're only supposed to look at the pretty cartoons.

    OK, the olive drab cartoons.

Anyway, the floppy disk icon obviously means "save" while the "X" means I changed my mind.

So, just hit "save" to "delete".

Yeah, maybe that's still a WTF.

Oh, I'm sorry about that. Have you talked to a doctor yet?

  • (cs)

When I was a kid, flip-flops were called "thongs". Later someone came along and used that name for something else. The synonym is apparently still in some systems.

  • (cs)
"One of these flip-flop thumbnails is far more appealing to me than the others," wrote Modano, "see if you can guess which one."

Couldn't be the one with the big red box drawn around it. That's an unrelated graphical glitch, right?

It's a rounding error of course. The price per pound is less then 0.005, so the weight of the whole salami is about 678 pounds. Sufficient for a snack, but far from infinit.

I've had the Cancel | Cancel thing on a Linux app. It was something like "Are you sure you want to cancel this operation, you'll loose xyz?" [Cancel] [Cancel].

  • Overthinker (unregistered)

The first cancel means "I'm sure I want to cancel my account?" while the second cancel means "I want to cancel canceling my account (i.e. keep it)?"

So it's an automated email the bank sends out to you when your balance drops below $25, right? Helpfully, it also offers advice about a service: you can have the bank send out an automated email to you when your balance drops below $25. Good to know.

Dearie, dearie me, you really have to do something about your spendaholic inclinations. I hope you have a plan in place to sort out that balance, which is considerably more overdrawn than was originally agreed.

I have sent the bailiffs round, who are going to do an assessment of your assets and remove any goods they see fit in order to make a start on making amends for your irresponsibility. Your home is in the process of being repossessed. Note that because of the extreme nature of your overdraft, you will not be eligible for any governmental assistance.

Same here. When I first saw it, I thought "Look an American Thong in with the Thongs....". I can't explain the black square though....

    TRWTF is America.

Also (as I think someone else pointed out) the Cancel, Cancel is perfectly ok. If you want to cancel your account, click cancel. If you don't want to cancel your account, click cancel (the other one).

Stupid users are not IT's fault. We included icons to clarify which Cancel is which. Mildly confusing, perhaps, but hardly a WTF....
