ActiveX is TRWTF?

inb4 Metric/Imperial debate
Admin
Admin
You don't need an extremely accurate scale to make sure that the weight is less than 7.87365 stone. You just need one that is accurate to as many decimal places as it does show.
Admin
Obviously, the imperial conversion was not very good. It should have been 7 stone, 12 pounds, 3.6976 ounces.
Admin
I congratulate you on single-handedly eliminating frist comments in this forum.
Admin
So bye, bye Miss Newspaper Pie...?
Admin
Mine is 22 apple pies to spite a whining child.

ActiveX, c'est le diable.
Admin
El Diablo!
Admin
I was just wondering why bubblyquirky's username is light gray when all the others are much darker... then I remembered. Discourse is graymapping trust levels.
Admin
Trustmapping?
Admin
Admin
Shit now I gave Jeff another idea.
Admin
"Discourse tm - the Infiniscroll tm forum with Trustmapping tm!!!"
Admin
This is the problem of not using the proper number of significant digits. There is one significant digit in the original number so there should be one significant digit in the resultant. Round the result to one significant figure i.e. 8 stone.
As for the battery charge, clearly the clock got reset by an hour or so just after it went on battery power, then it got shut down. It restarted shortly after it was plugged in. Well, that is how I read it anyway.
Admin
So you're Lex Luthor circa 1978?

Admin
that's the best terrible thing I've ever seen.
http://www.parentdish.co.uk/2014/08/08/man-buys-23-burger-king-apple-pies-to-spite-screaming-child/
this is the shit that never happened I was referring to though,
And that's terrible.

My dad has a son who's colourblind. And believe me, it's no laughing matter. What's the colour of that button please?
Admin
I'm guessing that ipccam was used for goatse…
Admin
That "green" button must have been made by someone with my level of color visibility, as it looks green to me...
Don't let color impaired people handle the colors on your sites people!
Admin
ActiveX is TRWTF?
Admin
My dad turned 30,000 days old on 5th March this year and I will be 20,000 days old in January 2020.
For the woman who lived 122 years and 164 days, 122 years would probably have passed 1900 which wasn't a leap year and I'll assume didn't pass 1800 so it would mean either 29 leap years or 30.
That means she lived either 44681 or 44682 days.
Admin
There is no difference between green and amber is there? There both mean go. Just amber means get on with it a bit quicker..
Admin
And yes they should increase the capacity to allow 63.5kg which is exactly 10 stone, and then they can have nice round numbers.
Admin
For the record, the button is orange.
Admin
Admin
By an incredible coincidence, this search gives exactly the same result.
Admin
Yeah, that button also looks green to me. Which is not surprising, as I'm also red-green colorblind. Sort of funny - the development team I was on for a while, fully half of the development team (3 of the 4 males, including myself) was colorblind. One of them filed a bug like "these colors you chose to differentiate proces states look the same", and then me and the other guy both agreed, and that's how we all learned that the other 2 were also red-green colorblind. And then we added long-needed palette options to that dialog. >.>
So I guess it's sort of a WTF in that nobody who wasn't colorblind looked at the instructions before it went public, but still.
Admin
All colorblind people on TDWTF should pick the same green avatar as yours, in solidarity.
Admin
That is mean!
Admin
Then we'd have to invoke Jeff to create a new rule to prevent such things.
Admin
Well, it's funny too...
Admin
Oh, I see it. The button is a sailboat!
Admin
Admin
And then punish the mother buy asking $50 for an apple pie?
Admin
Maximum weight load for this office chair: 300 lbs (1 ton).
Admin
Little did you know Orange is the new Green. Oranges around the world have been renamed to Greens since the colors Green and Orange have traded places.
Admin
Admin
Admin
Yes, yes, that's the one. But of course you can just imagine Jeff coming up with a rule and bastardising Discourse some more.
I sometimes wonder if uploading an avatar will eventually be compared against all current avatars...
Admin
Admin
Lats!
...or...
Msot re-sent pots as ov teh tiem I posited htis!
Admin
Parsing this broke something in my head...
Admin
Admin
If he would do the same here, where he still has admin rights but what is not on his home ground, it would mean a clear abuse of his rights.
That would probably translate into "gloves off" for TDWTF community, and meta.d might then have some very interesting times ahead of it.
In the Chinese meaning of the phrase.
Admin
That's not what I meant.
I can actually imagine him convincing everyone else to add in a detection against same-avatar use at the software level because that's not civilised.
But yes, if he were to try that here, the result would not end well.
Admin
HTML5 validation will allow you to add a
unique
attribute to the avatar image upload element, so you can prevent duplicate avatars on the client-side. After implementing this, we'll have funny exploiting the lack of server-side validation.Admin
I think this was a typo or autocowrecked-fail but it's funnier and probably more true than what should have been there.
Admin
On my laptop, it was a typo. My fingers often type without consulting my brain.
