Free stickers, love them free stickers.

    Purposed FAQ Questions

Are there any patent issues involved with the use of these stickers?

Does the license authorized me to transfer ownership of the sticker to a second party at a future date so long as I completely uninstall the sticker from my stuff first?

How does this sticker relate to my employeer's ISO 9001 application and approval process?

    Feel free to suggest others...

Does anything that I link the Free Sticker with have to be compatible with the sticker's licensing? If I inadvertently distribute the sticker attached to surfaces under incompatible licenses, by what routes can I come into compliance with the Free Sticker's license?

Well, at least this time those outside USA can have some chance of getting a free sticker without having to set an alarm for 4AM (for example).

Unfortunately I have no idea what EST means, though I assume it's correct for would be USAEST, which I think is like UTC-6 or so, which I should add 11 to, and carry the one.... Oh dear, I've gone cross-eyed.

Edit: I gather USAEST is UTC-5... And I assume there's no DST applied right now. So I am 16 hours ahead, therefore the next stickers are up for grabs at about 12PM on the 2nd AEST?

Now now, that sticker upsticking procedure seems too cumbersome to stick, and doesn't seem to provide the uniform anwser we actually seek. I think we'll stick with the 1.0 sticker for the stic^H moment.

Our only concern is, there could be not enough sticking resources available on some of the alreadi sticker sticked appliances for both 1.0 and 2.0 stickers to be stuck together. If we were to order 2.0 stickers, would the new 2.0 sticker stick to the 1.0 sticker or should it be unstuck in order to restick the new sticker at the sticking position?

    Please, clarify required resticking procedure.

PD: Happy New Year! Let all ye be stickered together.

Now you see what happens if you don't design your stickers in a modular, more enterprisey way!

The real WTF here is that I'm moving in the next week to a yet unknown address. Is there any chance that I could get a sticker that time?

Why not start an open source project to develop a multi-threaded, modular and fully extensible Sticker Framework, and put it on SourceForge.

So I add 5 hours to convert the EST time to UTC which must be USA time so I next take off 8 hours to convert USA time to GMT.

I put the date in my spreadsheet, convert the hours to decimals and add them up to get #VALUE! which could possibly be a patent infringement on some other spreadsheet program.

Oh dear, my operating system thinks I'm German (or maybe Norwegian) and doesn't understand decimal points! Haven't figured out how to change my country yet.

Pressing the hash symbol gives me a backslash but fortunately I can press the pound sign on my keyboard to get the hash symbol so I have succeeded in writing this mail.

I am sure I will have all these problems solved by sometime next week.

Yes, kind of. I'm breaking up with my GF, starting a new job, and currently looking for a flat to rent near my new workplace, that's why I can't send a self-adressed envelope.

Have it sent to your workplace.

I have done a payment throught paypal, for receiving 2x2 stickers of WTF in Spain. A hint of when I'll be sticking them on my laptop?

A WTF reader, but not commenter ('til now, of course)

When I was laid off from my last position, I stuck my prized Worse-Than-Failure sticker on the outward facing flap on the inside of my boss's briefcase, so that he'd spot it some time after I was gone. I don't think I'll have access in order to upgrade it for him.

    Any ideas?

Another FAQ: Is the mild-to-moderate-severity jaundice a requirement for using the patch kit?

  • (cs)

Can I get the sticker in teal?

/ Still want to get an actual WTF patch though.

  • (cs)

If you're using these as bumper stickers, be sure to back up your vehicle before installing.

Damn you have to be quick with the sticker form. I logged on at 8:05pm and was told that they're out. Damn you!! I will get me a free sticker yet!

  • Martini (unregistered)

Wow.. either you've smoked through cupped hands for the last 20 years, work in a cheese factory, just ate 2 bags of Doritos (mashing each one in your fists first), or you may have jaundice. Those are the yellowest palms I've ever seen!

P.S. that's not how to spell 'populous'. :P

  • (cs) in reply to Nozz

They were already out at 8:02. I guess that's the time the most American TDWTF readers are up, so it might really be the worst time to try. Luckily I was able to fill out the form by F5ing the page furiously until the right moment came.

  • (cs) in reply to ince

8pm by TDWTF server clock is 12pm by my time. Maybe next time I'll try one of the hours when you're all in bed. At least, I would if there were such a time!

The fact that the ''Get Two for a Buck and Some Change'' must be viewed in IE to see the PayPal button is a WTF in itself.

And here I thought The Daily WTF was immune to itself :o

Waaaait just a doggone minute! If the WorseThanFailure sticker is v1.0, then what is this that hangs on my bulletin board (and in such good company, too)? V0.0? [image]

Indeed. With lots of XML. Because as any fule kno, you can never be too rich, too thin, or have too much XML.

Do I have to prove I have a licensed version of the v1.0 WTF Sticker to get the v2.0 WTF Sticker Patch Kit? I don't have any stickers, but I think I might have a better chance of getting a free patch, and sticking that on my computer than getting a WHOLE new sticker. The patch would be better than the whole sticker for me anyway. Since it's only text without any pretty picutres, I know my boss won't be able to read it.
