If it's $15 for US shipping and $5k for personal delivery, how much is a mug if we drive to Inedo and pick it up?

This is obviously the inverse function, so you get the $5k from Alex...

Ahh, but this is WTF and the inverse function must be implemented accordingly. That means you still owe the $5k, plus, in addition to paying for the gas to drive (what, about $6k if you drive from the next state over at this point? $7k tomorrow), you have to pay Alex for the gas too!

So that works out to 15 + 5k + 3 * CostOfGas (it's 3, not 2, since you still have to drive home)

I'm going to start saving that $5,555 and move to Darfur right now, just to teach you people a lesson.

That would be foolish. Just have it delivered to someone already living there, and worry about getting another one for$15 (or pay the person to whom it is delivered to ship it back to you properly).

$25 for a mug? That certainly is a WTF.

What are you trying to do, mug us?

  • (cs)

I actually have the other mug in the picture... I got 4 of them at Target, along with 4 big plates, 4 bowls, and 4 little plates.... for $6 USD.

I broke one of them, so if you wouldn't mind sending me a replacement, I can't seem to find them anywhere....

Suppose I wanted 5 mugs, and I wanted personal delivery. Do I have to pay $5000 per mug? or Do you only deliver one and the other four are shipped standard? Do you say, hey, he was willing to pay the 5K throw in the 4 extra mugs.

If you think $5000 is reasonable, you must have the most expensive red light district ever.

Oh, I'll agree that it's unreasonable. We're just keeping our fingers crossed that one of our readers has more money than sense.

I don't know if it's really unreasonable. Let's say someone wants it delivered to Antarctica. So, that's a flight to Chich (Christchurch in N.Z.), and then another flight from there, and that last leg is gonna be expensive. CMH to CHC is about 2100 USD, so that's almost half of the money gone already. Then Alex will need to rest a bit at the final destination, so I'd say $5k is cutting it short.

Do we have any readers in Antarctica?

Note to Editor: Yes, English. Not British, not "from the UK", English. If the Scots and the Welsh are allowed to be nationalist, then I can be too.
How did "English" come to be passé, anyway? It brings to mind how in the 60's "Afro-American" came in vogue, and then somehow in the passage of years lost its approval and gave way to "African-American". A shame, really... what was joyously celebrated as a "'fro" wouldn't carry the same weight as a "'frican".
I'll have you know that we of the English persuasion can do without your patronising attitude, thank you very much. And yes, that is "patronising" with an 's', not with a 'z'.

Being touted as "passé" at least presupposes that we were once unsurpasséd. Indeed, as we labour under the stigma of being "passé," we can console ourselves with the thought that, with enough of that plucky resolve that you can see in Enid Blyton books and movies featuring James Mason, we will eventually become "retro."

And from "retro" it is one small step to being "chic," n'est-ce pas, mon petit faible espece de Texanois?

Anyway, nice mugs, I gotta get one.

So are you a tonic or soda man?
Pfffaph! Pop. Tonic. Soda. Wassup wif dat? It's called "coke", man. No matter what it is. It's like Kleenex... the brand name has transcended the product association. When your nose is running, you don't say, "Got any tissue paper?" Likewise with coke.

Joe: "Hey, Moe, I'm going to the fridge. Want a coke?" Moe: "Sure!" Joe: "What kind?" Moe: "Bring me a root beer. No, wait... Dr Pepper."

NOOOOOOOOO Coke is Coke, short for Coca-Cola. Coke is not Pepsi, nor is it RC Cola. It is most definitely not a root beer or Dr Pepper. It is COKE. When I ask for a Coke I meant that I want a Coke.

It isn't even anything like tissue paper vs Kleenex. I mean maybe if Dr Pepper taste similar to Coke.

Coke is not a synonym for a cola nor even for a carbonated sugar water drink. IT IS COCA-COLA! GRRRRR

TRWTF is that I care about this.

But whiskey and soda is good, whereas whiskey and tonic... I've never even tried that.

I believe it was PG Wodehouse who asserted that "All Englishmen are born two gin and tonics under par." (I notice that, according to google, this has since been misappropriated by the appalling Hurley woman.)

Why would I want to drink a "Gin and Soda" and slip another stroke?

And why is it under par, anyway?

Because under par is what you are trying to achieve in Golf. Thus he is a couple of drinks the right side of sobriety.

A 15 oz mug is compatible with non-oz drinks, you just have to convert it first. For example, type "350 mL in oz=" in Google and it converts it for you automatically.

Yes you can use it to drink a 350 mL iced coffee. It will not throw (spill?) an exception of sorts unless someone deliberately throws or spills it.

"15 oz" - which ounces? I'd expect US (given that's where TDWTF is based, and the only country to still so widely use fluid ounces),

    15 US fluid ounces = 443 ml

but if it were to actually be Imperial, then

    15 Imperial fluid ounces = 426 ml

(both metric figures rounded down to nearest whole ml)

    Which is it?
