I'm still curious about whose vest Lyle left turned on.

And does turning off a vest turn off the gun too?

Wow, what an insecure loser. He must suffer from erectile dysfunction, or something.

Yeah, and his erectile dysfunction is more serious than yours! Loser!

    This is hilarious!

Any chance we can persuade you to register?

Doesn't take much: just a sperm donation. The big thing is, you can choose where the sperm goes.

Probably his own, because he alone is more competent than his whole team together and thus his awesome strategies would certainly avoid a lot of enemy shots. Maybe he could even deflect them back?

Most certainly not, because if it did his team wouldn't really have an advantage at all. It probably would end the same as the first round except by a lower score from both sides.

I just feaking HATE laser tag. First the guns don't make any noise when you shoot or don't have any sort of indicator, no light no nothing. So you never know if it is really working or not.

Then when someone shoots you, you never know it. There is no beep no nothing.

You have no idea who is winning until the end of the game. And the results are never what you expect.

Really why do people like laser tag ???

  • (cs) in reply to zzp

In the games I've been to, there's plenty of feedback.

    • the guns make noise and flash lights when firing, and have an LCD display that tells you when you've hit someone
    • the vests make noise, flash lights, and vibrate when hit
    • both guns and vests have continuously flashing lights when they're active
    • the air is misted so you can see the laser beams

True that you don't know who's winning until the end. Be interesting to have a big scoreboard right in the arena. Usually I'm losing so badly, though, that I'm just as happy not knowing.

Anyway, if it's just the lack of feedback that rankles, try another provider: you might enjoy the experience more.

  • red (unregistered)

That would make an awesome episode of The Office.

I went to a friend's 30th birthday. He lives in a different city but I figured it was his 30th and he is my best friend so I made the trip to go to this dinner.

Anyway, it was a small intimate dinner - just this friend, his wife, a few of his workmates. He works for a web hosting company and so I knew the types of each of the people. You had the really relaxed whatever developer and his wife. And then you had the alpha Lyle type.

Anything that came out of my mouth was turned around much as this story implies. The worst bit is that I was becoming more and more miserable by the behavior over the night. But even worse... no one noticed it until I had said something to my friends wife as we were walking back to the car.

She stopped... looked stunned for a moment... and said "You know, I never noticed that before." Nowadays she stand to be around him. Whoops.
