I would say this is first, but Lyle beat me to it.

Next time Lyle's going to remotely disable everyone's keyboards so that I can get "Fr1st"...it's only fair.

This story reminds me of the time I played minigolf with the second in command of a good-sized European company (> 1,000 employees) and caught him cheating. How low can you go?

Lyle sounds like the offshore ppl i work with. faster and better don't necessarily go hand in hand..

    Oh not this again.

How am I supposed to get that jingly title out of my head now??

  • airdrik (unregistered)

I was half-expecting a part where one of the guys on the team whose packs weren't registering any hits to realize what was going on during the game and start talking afterwards about how not fun it was because it was like they were cheating or something and there was no real competition in that game.

Reminds me of one of our staff outings, back when companies could afford them. We went to the dog races, and Mr Director impressed everyone by winning £100 from the bookies. I later realised he put several big bets on each race, so of course one would win.

Unlike Lyle though, rather than calling us losers he bought us drinks with his winnings. So we didn't mind his subterfuge.

  • Mumba-Jumba (unregistered)

Not very old and certainly not very classic, in my opinion. Still, enjoy your holidays.

In some resorts, when the guests play volleyball, beachball or any sport, they actually do that - rig the game so that the wins are balanced.

  • Anonymous (unregistered)

I was wondering how long it would be until the trackback mechanism got abused by spammers. I really don't see the point in trackbacks, it just encourages misuse and self-promotion.

What a boring WTF.... why did you let Lyle get away with that??? Why didn't you let Skippy publicly confess what he has done with the jackets?? It would make Lyle the biggest looser, as he clearly cheated and should be disqualified. He would have no choice only but to sing the teapot song, even better: he would have to sing it alone in public as his team would probably rejected him.

Typically a nerd's revenge: thinking that the villain "knows" he is wrong. No need to perform any action :SSS
