IM IN UR INTERNETS BLOKNG UR BNNERS
Admin
I'm not at all surprised to see this kind of idiocy from somebody who believed that, "OMG, they're censoring the 'Mission Accomplished' banner," crap.
The fact that he heard it on "the news" amuses me too. Some Guy's blog post on the front page of Digg does not count as "the news".
Admin
What's ironic is the banner ad above the article.
Admin
what banner ad ?
Admin
I love the irony... Good job writing the story... Why was the office vacant?
Admin
So his pointy hair was completely revealed...
Admin
Did he keep his job after that?
Admin
Google ought to read this, give them a few LOLs.
Admin
"Neal paused a moment before a eye roll with a wry smile and then asked again."
Rolling your eyes and smiling "wryly" in response to anything is really ugly and stereotypical nerd behavior. I was hoping his boss would fire him on the spot to teach him a lesson. I would've.
Admin
They were all watching the boss freak out.
Admin
and cussing like that around employees is not? you must be a pointy haired boss that doesn't like your pride injured by a 'nerd' that tires of answering the same question by idiots. Instead of firing competent people, why don't you try to teach yourself and employees not to be idiots. oh wait.. stupid is forever.
I am very kind to users despite the questions that exist because they refuse to think. Still it is hard not to gasp or show signs of incredulity when they do idiotic stuff at times. I wouldn't want to work for someone who punished people for stupid reasons instead of something of substance. I am sure people that do that are really surrounded by competence! I guess PC behavior at all times from 'underlings' is more important than having people that aren't idiots to some... no wonder the business world is a mess.
Admin
What a nasty attitude. You wouldn't make it past the first interview with me.
Admin
And there are great things to be thankful for! No one complains about my attitude here at work because we are nice to each other. If I encounter jerk, I have no problem letting them know and I certainly am not going to cower before them for a job.

Nice. So people who move their eyes when they think (it's not all voluntary), as well as anyone who either holds their own opinion or has a sense of humor won't last long in your employ. Which is just as well, since you sympathize with the man throwing a temper tantrum.
<roll eyes>Hope that works out for ya.</roll eyes>
Admin
Who fucking cares? Even if you have hiring power in the real world and aren't just blowing smoke up our asses, there are plenty of other jobs waiting for competent developers. The position you're hiring for isn't the end-all be-all of careers. Get over yourself.
Admin
Sarcasm detector. At home. Forgot. You.
Admin
You're the boss in question, aren't you? rolls eyes and sniggers
Admin
I like the title, but the story line sucks air..
Admin
If that was sarcasm, then it wasn't obvious at all. Unless it's referencing some relatively obscure saying, then it doesn't even make sense to claim those remarks were sarcastic.
Admin
we did....
Admin
Because everyone was in the President's office watching him rant.
Admin
Oh I totally missed this part in the dictionary where it says sarcasm has to be obvious! How have I gone all these years being subtly sarcastic? I'm blushing!
Admin
This is soooooo old .. i must have read this like 1.5-2 yrs ago-- right here on this website .. are u like running out of content or something?
Admin
It took me several minutes to figure out why Opera was refusing to load this article. I think you can figure out why.
Admin
Why the f--- does hitting f---ing comment not do a f---ing thing except make my URL flash?
(Note: "comment" is blocked content)
CAPTCHA: Completely disappointing.

Admin
Read the title again: "Classic WTF".
They're getting to be a bit like MAS*H though. Seems like the same "classics" get repeated time and time again.
Admin
That wasn't sarcasm. It was a PHB who thought he clicked on the W.orld T.aekwondo F.ederation google-link but instead ended up here. Believe me, there are a /lot/ of people out there that are this ignorant (and like Taekwondo).
Admin
Maybe you'll get reading comprehension classes in your Christmas stocking.
Read the post title - it clearly says "Classic WTF", which explains why you probably read it before.
Admin
Maybe he came here on purpose. Did TopCod3r change his sign on?
Admin
Well yes, they're classics. That's kind of the idea.
Admin
How exactly was Google putting him out of business?
Admin
The story explains it... People couldn't find any other bannerservices, so the would chose for google-ad.
Admin
He's on vacation, so this is a "Best Of" week.
Admin
I nominate the above post as the Real(tm) WTF. Dude, get a sense of humor.
Admin
One word: PEBKAC
Admin
You must have also missed the part where it actually has to make sense for something to be "sarcastic" in order for it to be...well "sarcastic." Clearly, those remarks don't fit that criteria, and you're going to have a hard time convicing anyone but yourself of that.
Admin
What in the fuck are you even referencing? How were the comments I responded to "sarcastic" or "humorous" in any way?
Admin
I've actually been in the exact same situation: Opera and ad-blocking obscuring my internet experience. It was not at all easy to find the problem, especially since the site affected wasn't ad-related (it was nobelprize.org, but I don't remember in which way. When I think about it, this is probably why redirecting from Googles own ads hasn't ever worked for me in Opera... hmm :-D ).
