Yeah, XML is just so difficult to master what with the five reserved entities. I mean seriously, five characters I have to escape? That's just plain unreasonable.

Sorry for my missing story on the Winnebago site, I had pictures to go along with it, I had a 2GB memory stick full of them but somehow they disappeared after I used 1GB. I believe it had to do with the porgram I used, it told me X <<Do Not Localize>> as I tried to load it.

Having dealt with this particular branch many times, I can confirm the staff have been lobotomised. In ten years, I think I've only once met a staff member who was both helpful and knowledgeable. I think he was promoted away from customer-facing positions.

Just wait until you can buy 4GB memory cards with 1GB capacity and RAID 5.

Only because if a picture's worth a thousand words, a video must be at least 1GB worth of words.

Sony-compatible "MemoryStick" type of a flash card, maybe?

Factually, the tag mentions "PNY USB2.0" so seems like a mistag. Rest of the text on it is still WTFy.

What options did you choose during your Leopard install? Because I think you've accidentally triggered the COUNTDOWN to the end of the world. And just when everything was going so well, too...

Polish. And Hungarian. And Simplified Chinese. And pretty much the entire I18N thing.

But then they go and use French-style quotation marks around "Do not localize".

    WTF?

I personally think that escaping mentally disabled is a bad thing, especially when they have been trained to fight.

It was a miniature USB device; the type that's scarcesly larger than the PCB needed to fit into the socket. I assume that's what they meant by it going unnoticed, rather than it leaving the shop on the sly, or their cock-up being ignored.

The sad thing is I've actually seen web pages that messed up in a way that looked like what ABC News did.  Yes, it was HTML - they double-escaped. But, on the bright side, I've only seen one website accidentally triple-escape the special characters. (And, by 'special characters', I mean anything that didn't seem to them to be a normal character. Things like @ were included in this list.)

  • Josh (unregistered) in reply to Bobble

Since that is from the Complete My Album, the answer is "one song from that album".

Also, TRWTF is why the video on the 2nd one costs $7.00 (that is apparently the only difference between the two versions).

  • (cs)

The USB stick tag almost sounds like it's suggesting the product is intended to be used as a deceitful gift. "Here's a '2GB' memory stick. It's really only 1GB, but grandpa will never have over 1GB of photos on his digital picture frame anyway, so it'll go unnoticed."

Or maybe it's just a typo.

As for the "X?", it's simply asking if you have/want an X server installed. Which of those it is can be derived from the context; it continues from a previous sentence. "Do you [have/want] foo installed? bar? X?" Now, why a Windows program is asking about an X server remains a mystery...

    2 + 2 = 5 for sufficiently large values of 2.
