I speak a bit of German, French, Spanish, and enough Gaelic, Russian, Polish, Japanese, Turkish and Hungarian to at least say "Hello" and "Thank you"

1000km in any direction from where I am would put me out in the Pacific somewhere. Dolphins and whales talk. Do sharks? I'd like to know before in case I need to talk them into not eating me.

Sharks do talk. They speak english because they also know it is the only language that matters. The trick is learning to speak underwater and not having your voice sound all muffled.
