his conceit is in inverse ration to his lack of ability

Wow, these are even worse than the original. If I remember correctly, those at least made sense, even if they were lame. But this means that if he has no ability, he has no conceit. How is that an insult?

Got to love the Finnish stuff, especially the "advertisment" and door sticker from the Finnish Green Party "Vihreät"...which reads "no advertisments".

You stick it to your letter box and then the postman doesn't delivery marketing material to your house...

...sounds sensible until you realise that much marketing material we get is from the Finnish Green Party telling me that waster is destroying the World...

...wonder if its printed on indestructable plastic too...?

If that one yen coin is anything like the old Austrian ten Groschen coins, you might actually be able to float it on water.

    1. Fill a bowl with water.

    2. Tear off a scrap of newspaper about 2-3 times the size of the coin.

    3. Float the newspaper on the surface of the water.

    4. Place the coin on the floating newspaper.

    5. Gently poke at the newspaper with a fork until it sinks.

When this is done correctly with a ten Groschen coin, the coin stays suspended on the surface of the water by surface tension. You can do the same thing with a small sewing needle, and likely the one yen coin.

Another Real WTF. While reading this article I noticed a Google Ad words ad for "Dedicated Server $99." I followed the link to find pathwaynet.com hosting. I looked for a add to cart button only to discover they don't have one. They apparently rely on email and the phone. All the pages are copyright 1996-2005. On the press release pages the most recent press release is May 27, 2004. Yeah, that's what I'm looking for in a Hosting provider one that really keeps their own site up to date.

There's never a piece of fresh chalk in classrooms when you need it, so you carry your own. Ever tried to carry white chalk in a dark suit without some kind of holder?

The chalk retracts kind of like an automatic pencil (or mechanical pencil in some parts of the world).

If you want to actually order the cat costumes, they're available here:

    http://www.petoffice.co.jp/catprin/english/

As a bonus, you'll get not only views of siller-looking costumes ("Ann of Green Gables"), but some absolutely classic Engrish:

"You need to dress a cat. And you will say to a cat together with a family. "It has changed just for a moment". [ "it being very dear" or ] You will pass pleasant one time."

    Indeed.

Excellent. You've just made me want to buy these ludicrous things.

"Nerf me back, Big Boy! Or are you just made from a solid, spongy cellular material produced by the reaction of polyester with a diisocyanate while carbon dioxide is liberated by the reaction of a carboxyl with the isocyanate that, in turn, makes the material soft and light?"

Incidentally, Google Translate translates the text on that mug as "worthy of investment".

Well, that's if I type it in lowercase. If I type it in all caps, as it's written on the mug, it comes out "FOR INSERTION Worthy!"
