You have to put cocoa butter in chocolate, otherwise you only have cocoa. Chocolate is made up of: cocoa, cocoa butter, sugar (including milk sugars, for milk chocolate)
Being a Brazilian I have never had the (dis)pleasure of tasting American chocolate, but I have heard and read lots of horror histories from people who went to the USA and didn't stand anything so-called sweet available there.

It all came down to the fact, it seems, that USA avoids sugar like hell, preferring to use corn syrup instead. Or, rather, being forced to, since US Customs overtax sugar so that corn syrup is (artificially) cheaper, causing corn producers to be very happy and all the remaining of the population much more sad than they should.

My guess then is that both the British and Polish chocolates do as Brazilian ones and use sugar. Ours is made from sugarcane. The others I don't know. But I surely doubt they come from corn.

The real WTF is that you aren't aware of the exciting world of competitive ruby. A match begins with a lot of broken black-framed, non-prescription glasses, framework building, snickering at anything "legacy", and desperately trying to convince yourself that you are as cool as you pretend to be, and ends with lonely young men crying themselves to sleep.

In fact, on good operating systems, you can enter ł by pressing the compose key - the one with the skyscraper and the mouse pointer on it which points to the storey where the WTC was hit by planes...., no honestly, the one left to Right-Ctrl that opens a context menu on bad operating systems - by pressing the compose key and typing /l (or /L for a capital Ł). This works for a lot of characters, almost all that are have mnemonics assigned in RFC1345.

For the poor Windows users, there are several (different) tools that emulate a Compose key. On Windows at work, I am using one of those (that also supports fulltext search in the unicode name list) and cannot live without it any longer.

My Norwegian Boss and his British wife use to bring back chocolate from UK. They said it was so much better than American chocolate.

Since I'm an American, I respectfully disagreed until I tried some their chocolate from the UK. I changed my mind; I think UK chocolate is a lot better than American chocolate. I think it's because Hershey puts coco butter in their chocolate to make the chocolate melt at body temperature.

Anyway, America make great technology, but really shitty chocolate.

Whether you like it or not, Hershey's chocolate is supposed to taste the way it does. Hershey invented his own unique method of making chocolate that involved a process that caused the milk to sour a bit, which gives it that distinctive flavor. It was originally all the rave because it had that unique flavor that was different from other chocolates. It's not that he didn't know how to make chocolate.

That said, I prefer the European style chocolate myself.

No kidding. When you have a queen (or king) she (he) is required to be the "head" on all coins. This has been true since at least AD 1. Check any British, Canadian, or Australian coin. That's just the way it is.

The USA, in rejecting monarchy, specified that "Liberty" would be on the face of our coins. Unfortunately, since 1909, dead presidents have slowly taken over all American coins.

And why can't we get a $ coin into circulation? In Europe the smallest bill (and it is the size of Monopoly money) is €5 (which is presently about $8). Thanks to inflation, we have dollar bills worth what used to be a dime, yet it's a constant battle trying to feed the things into vending machines.

In Australia, our coins are quite similar in style to the New Zealand ones. In all fairness about your head comment, the tails side is always drastically different. But if you're truly used to this style of coin, you don't rely on the look of the coin, but the feel, size and shape of it. The lower currency coins are smaller in size, and thinner too so they feel more lightweight.

It's possible that Charles might take one of his other names as king, due to the unfortunate connotations of the earlier Charleses (sp?).

Probably depends where you went to school. Many English geeks will have been subjected to several years of rugby at High School (although probably the wussy Union version, rather than the gritty northern League version). Being only vaguely aware of Ruby, and having no direct experience with it, I personally am considerably more familiar with Rugby (I was always just good enough to be considered for the school team, but never quite good enough to get into it).
The Union form has proper scrums and rucks, which I aver are "less wussy" than the League "6 tackles" rule. But both are MUCH better than soccer and poofy Yankee "grid-iron" variants of football.
