A $4 to $1 grant of up to $7500. Where's the WTF? If I put in $100, they will put in $400. If I put in $1875 or more, they'll put in $7500.

What, does the submitter not understand the difference between a currency symbol and a variable-indicating prefix?

Either way, still not a WTF

"4:1" would be better than "$4 to $1", but I also don't understand where the WTF is.

The user had the lasers unplugged, and the error message told him to check his wiring. The blah, blah, blah covers unforeseen errors like defective equipment. What more do you want?

No, the submitter doesn't understand how grants work. He said so.

  • Warren (unregistered)

They're storing passwords the same way a lot of people did, in the days when there was a chance of someone using a browser older then IE 5.5.

I agree though: this is pretty bleep (not that you could have that as a password).

The real WTF is that the restaurant doesn't know how to spell shiitake.

  • Bobby (unregistered)

Those folks who say your password cannot contain SELECT are in desperate need of an education.

Usually when you try to 'splain technical things to these people, their eyes glaze over and their brains turn to brick. They need the issue presented to them in terms even a sales weasel can understand.

Something like "all our data has been deleted and since we have no backups there will be no further revenue coming in so you're all sacked." An attention getter, so to speak.

I don't see the problem with the SAP countdown. It's probably a good deal more accurate than most project plans involving SAP.
