Am I the only one who thinks this is brilliant?!
Admin
LOL, nice. I'm pretty sure installing this would be a fireable offence where I work.
Admin
Hopefully, this method of submitting WTF's will finally start producing good articles here again. That and getting rid of Remy Martin and his unicorns.
Admin
great, but when do we get a plugin for eclipse
Admin
No.
Admin
Why would you develop VB in Eclipse???
Admin
Nope, Paula thought it was too.
Admin
Why would you develop anything in VB? Only one reason; not being given any choice in the matter...
Admin
A colleague of mine asked me if you could take all of the code examples in thedailywtf and build something that works. I responded by telling him that you could build something and call it a WTFramework.
Admin
hahah, nice

Admin
Enhanced crowd-sourced code reviews in the cloud?
Admin
TRWTF is the sample code... oh wait... is it?
Admin
Love the wooden table! Classic.
Admin
FTFY.
Admin
I don't see what's so wrong about that first example...
Admin
Admin
I like the "Please Don't Publish" option. Sometimes it's just easier to sleep at night knowing that you did the right thing and sent that trashy code where it belongs, even if nobody knows it.
Admin
Hmm. No WSDL. I was considering trying out wdsl2objc and making an Xcode plug-in, just so you could all experience the glory of cleaning up for a Flash designer-turned-iPhone developer.
Admin
I'm just going to install this, open up a random project from my predecessor, hit ctrl+a and then hit submit. That should give Alex a ton of usable material for the future.
Admin
Use: http://thedailywtf.com/SubmitWTF.asmx?wsdl

Thats quite the scotch selection. Now if you had a vodka or tequilla selection, I'd have grabbed my fiance, faxed you my resume and cover letter and up and moved to a cardboard box in the street outside Inedo. My fiance is a licensed bartender here in Massachusetts.

Perhaps I'm reading things too literally, but I take exception to the idea of asking developers to work outside normal hours. There's more to life than programming. Try going for a rugged mountain hike or something.
Admin
Oh come on. The unicorns are hilarious. Pointless, immature, and a unprofessional yes, but hilarious.
Admin
Admin
There are a few "other" spirits, but those are mostly for mixing and the occasional random project.
There seems to be a movement to start a Cognac Library (I think I saw like 6 varieties at one point), but I suspect that's because we've run out of new variety of Scotch to buy locally (weird Ohio liquor laws, no special order, etc).
Admin
The form doesn't really have the "pic on wooden table" look when it casts a drop shadow on the table.
Unless it's meant to be hovering paper...
Admin
Lotus Notes uses Eclipse now (and has for a few years) for all those Loti WTFs.
Admin
TRWTF is that http://inedo.com/Company/ScotchMenu.aspx claims that the Talisker distillery's on Islay.
Admin
Will there be an add-in for the VB6 IDE?
Admin
I would love a VIM plugin for this...
Admin
I was thinking the same - also, the "paper" is too clean and white. Needs a texture.
Admin
I actually went to the src browser, and I'm getting a seriously fucked up view of svn/trunk/SubmitToWTF/connect.cs. It looks like after each character another nonsense character was inserted after it.
Are you trying to get on your own website, because for me this was more of a WTF that today's TDWTF.
Admin
Next up, a NetBeans plugin that submits the IDE.
Admin
Is there an API for the submission application, or are you just posting to the site?
Admin
I have no idea.... it's hosted on Google Code. Everything seems to work fine for me: pulling directly via SVN, exporting from SVN, and browsing over the web.
Admin
Oh yeah. And it's XML!!!!

At my current job booze is completly off the table. Your lucky if you get a plastic bic pen with the company logo after 10 years. Our budget is mandated by the state right down to the salaries. :(
Admin
It's in UTF-16.
Admin
Maybe it's just my browser/computer being persnickety.
Admin
The shadow is created by all the previous versions of this code in the repository. Including management review and The Change Control Board, I am quite sure this application had at least 50 revisions. Remember, the process is more important than the product.
Admin
TRWTF is the existence of this plugin.
Seriously.
Humanity had a good run, but I think it might be time to call it quits.
Admin
You win!
Admin
This plugin facilitates a huge IP violation, but what the heck...if you can't fix it, publish it!
Admin
I can replicate the issue you're describing in Firefox, but it looks fine in IE and Chrome. WTF?
Admin
I assume that this is so that Alex can submit his own code in a quick and easy manner.
Admin
I'd ask for a NetBeans plugin, but then again, only Visual Studio and Eclipse users write WTFs.
Admin
I started to work on an Eclipse plugin... anyone interested?
Admin
visual studio vendor lockin, yeah, I am on vim, brilliant!
captcha: "distineo"... hell?
