The LinkedIn thing is part of their privacy policy. It'll keep them (or anyone else) from spamming you. >;->

I dont see the issue with the printer... it's just being environmentally friendly: Do you really want 8 copies? =P
The real WTF is the need to print out anything at all these days...

I don't know about the rest of you, but I want the chance to attend Bond University. Sounds pretty badass.

The real estate sign probably isn't a "mail merge" problem, but rather someone who sent standard artwork to the sign maker without telling them what went there or otherwise updating it.

It's the same reason you occasionally see newspaper ads where, instead of sensible text, you get gibberish - it's the standard ad and nobody replaced the filler text with the actual words.

Not to mention it's redundant, the comments section of TDWTF has a master sarcasm tag, first child of the body tag.

When will people learn that blindly replacing things is not a good idea? I'm just waiting for a WTF post about a company that emails all their employees their "Genderual Harbuttment" policies.
How about a Christian news site "sanitizing" an article about sprinter Tyson Gay winning a 100m race?

Very nice, but it still doesn't help with his original point which is that windows copy won't tell you *which* particular file is the one that is locked, you have to go by guesswork. It isn't until you know which one it is that tools like unlocker can assist.

The way that unlocker pops up with the details of which file is locked, however; that does help. Quite a lot.

The printer error message is one I've seen when people accidentally print to the Microsoft XPS Document Writer (or similar) on accident instead of selecting the right printer. Obviously, it can't handle printing 10 copies since it's not a real printer.
