The days calculation used by Visual Studio is in fact correct. Microsoft minutes (tm) are markedly not scaled the same as earth time, nor is it as linear.

    (4 / 2147483647) = C = 1.86265E-09

Where C is the variable constant defined in the win32 API in time.h, it is primarily responsible for calculating copy and download times, boot times, process scheduling, mouse movement, window drawing speed, window management... pretty much anything that requires power.

One overclocking trick is to recompile windows with C = 1.0, then the OS behaves as you expect (tm).

P.S. First, you failed. bwha ha ha ha!

Vlad should look more closely. It's "$153,521," that he needs, not "$153,521". Obviously the former is greater than his measly "$926,533" - it's longer, for a start.

    a) get the hell over yourself trying to dictate how other people spend their own money

and b) the phrase "game dollars" might give away the fact that it's not real money anyway.

Hey, if "game dollars" are anything like BitCoins, this is merely an artifact of the volatile marketplace. Between the time the software (or the really hot blonde pictured...) looked up his game dollar account and the current price, the value of game dollars, in game dollar units, fluctuated madly.

    1) To which of the bugs described in that paper are your referring? None of them relate specifically to dollar value comparisons, and it is not obvious which of the many numeric bugs are applicable in this case.
    1. What makes you think the game was even written in C?

    This.

In 1990, Saddam Hussein announced that Kuwait was properly a province of Iraq, and took actions consistent with that position. The rest of the world said otherwise, and took actions consistent with that position. Ultimately, the original announcement had to be retracted. But for a few brief shining moments, it was "current".

I don't have "Yangon" on my Google Plus newsfeed alerts, so I might well have missed a change in the official position about just what use of that name implies. But I have seen recent game-show questions that suggest the related renaming of the country to "Myanmar" is accepted in greater circles now than it was in 1989.
