Luke is able to install on as many "physical hosts" as he likes, so long as none of them is a "Physical Server". I'm not sure why a Physical Server isn't a physical host, but there you are.

The Lloyds one isn't really a WTF is it? If some one has managed to get into your bank they cant transfer money out without having access to your phone...

They hide the digits so as to stop unauthorised people getting hold of your number and using it as another way of carrying on their nefarious activities...

Secondly, the being located off the west coast of africa is quite common if you get your long and lat the wrong way round, we spend a fun few days watching out fleet of company bin wagons pottering round in the sea when the company that supplied the trackers screwed up their data feed to us a few years back.

Ideally an HTML5-based slideshow with websockets. I tried getting Chrome to work on Linux with the hardware I've been provided, but you can see the framerate drop to about 1 in 20 seconds once it finally loads up.

... My hardware isn't all that good, 1 GHz proc, 512Mb Ram, No PAE (It's an older x86 processor). Runs Windows 7 well enough, with complications...

With that limited hardware I would try running bare X window and loading only Chrome in kiosk mode.

Let me know if you need help how to do that

Actually, this is very close to what I had going on my experimental configuration for Raspberry Pi 1a. The major problem there is that Chrome's memory requirements would somehow get the network stack to die, and pages would only load part-way through.

Of course, dev time ran out and we needed a solution now, so I ended up provisioning five of my IBM T42 laptops in Windows to do just that. Made a quick batch file, set it as shell, and Boom! Instant digital signage. Kinda. Apparently Chrome's "Website is offline, try to reload when possible" functionality doesn't work right at the moment in Kiosk mode :wtf:.

If you want, I can easily build a Webkit-based fullscreen browser with Qt, and make it so that if the page fail to download, it will retry in a couple seconds.

And since it's build with Qt, it can be compiled to run on Linux, OSX or even Windows. You could even run it on a Raspberry Pi.

'quite common' depends on your location. Not so common if you live at >90deg east or west (as well as most other locations on the earth).
