Obviously "1 Year" gives you those five extra days that 12*30 doesn't.

That shoe one was already posted previously in: https://thedailywtf.com/articles/i-beg-your-entschuldigung

  • Little Bobby Tables (unregistered)

That is so much a man's shoe, where's the problem?

  • dottk (unregistered)

That free vs not free is freenom free domain thing. "free" there means "you can use it until we feel like revoking it without warning".

Revolver shoe? Well, your ankle rotates pretty wildly wearing it, often in more than one axis of rotation at once.

Steel toe? More like "No Toe." That only works if your own toes are steel. I just don't see Colossus wearing that type of shoe anytime soon.

I've always wanted to go to HonoNullLu.

Nice easter egg in the Norwegian Airways one. An "invalID" value indeed!

  • Anon (unregistered)

On the one submitted by Paige S.:

It also says "10 months", then "11 month", then "12 months". They got a problem with their plurals code.

  • Mr. TA (unregistered)

That shoe will be up for sale on purpose to elicit more daily WTF duplicate submissions. Going for record!!

  • Smash (unregistered) in reply to Anon

Those months strings were probably typed by hand, and the dev just missed a key. Not really a WTF...

... except for the fact that any moron with more that three brain cells typing that list should have caught the stupidity of "12 months free, 1 year paid". The fact that they didn't is an even bigger WTF.

  • (nodebb) in reply to Anon

No problem, you need to read it as "Ten months" "one one month" "twelve months"

  • JustWondering (unregistered)

Do they have those steel toe shoes in my size? Mens 11?

  • Travis J. Q. Beufort (unregistered)

That 12 months free error'd is from freenom.com. It's a site that gives out free domains. It's been like that for at least 5 years now. I think I submitted the exact same thing back in the day, but it didn't get published. The whole site's pretty crap anyways, but hell, it does have a purpose, so who cares.

The sub-WTF behind what we see is that probably there is no "plurals code".

    Instead there's just a hard coded array of hundreds of strings with typos scattered throughout. e.g. dropdownChoices = [..., "10 months", "11 month", ..., "23 Mnths", ..., "42 monts" ...];

With a couple of skips & dupes thrown in for good measure.

  • Darkenon (unregistered)

12 Months isn't necessarily the same as a year. They might consider a month as 4 weeks, giving only 48 weeks rather than the 52 a year would give.

  • (nodebb) in reply to Little Bobby Tables

The problem is that it's supposed to be steel toe, but it looks like it's actually open toe.

  • Mark (unregistered) in reply to Anon

As long as the 11st month is free, does it matter?

  • James (unregistered)

    So the size is.. 2?

  • Ulysses (unregistered) in reply to that other guy

Indeed! Come on, Mark Bowytz. They give you one simple task. Do it right.

Considering "Null News" is apparently about a volcano destroying housing, I'd say no, null news is not good news.
