Is the typo in the title deliberate, or the real wtf?

First two characters working now, but now the third one is busted:, getting 'smorgasb-rd' instead of 'sm-rg-sbord' bt still no joy.

    The wonders of internationalization?

OK, how did my submission of the NaN in MS Flight Simulator not make this list?

  • (nodebb) in reply to Argle

If MS are aiming to make Flight Simulator as realistic as possible, maybe getting NaNs is a correctly-implemented feature, not a bug?

Ahhhh the session timeouts ... what the heck was that ticket tracking nonsense we were supposed to be using back in Monster? ClearQuest? It got about a hundred form fields to fill in to create a ticket with the submit button all the way back up on the page and a session timeout of ten minutes ... the company paid for too few licenses so they had to keep the sessions short. It was next to impossible to finish the process in time and once your session timed out you could start anew. Luckily I worked on a side project of the original parent company so I only had to touch ClearQuest (may all people responsible for that thing die of lung cancer) twice.

 Randomness. There was probably something funnier that was submitted the same week and now it's languishing down in the middle of a pile of old submissions, waiting for a Really Slow News Day or a Flight Simulator Theme Day.

The thing that irks me is the "Copyright {{currentDate:yyyy}}" code. Even though copyright lasts rediculously long so it never has come up yet, blame a certain mouse, this is still technically, and legally, wrong. You're supposed to leave that date as the earliest date a page got created, especially as a company. Work for hire has a fixed duration. Increasing a date counter does not make your limited monopoly last forever.

Possibly yyyy-YYYY where yyyy is the year of creation and YYYY is the year of last modification, if the modifications can be copyrighted independently of the thing they are modifications of. But yeah, yyyy=year-of-today is wrong.
