Is anyone else imagining a sultana in a dominatrix outfit? How does it hold the whip?
Admin
The Dominatrix of Debugging

Surely Sultana is already feminine? Sultanatrix is double feminine, would need 4X chromosomes, or XXXX.

That would be "tinder."
Compare http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tinder with http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/kindling — Bah, no onebox for Wiktionary. Relevant portion:

Finally we have a way to recruit (kinky) testers who won't leave after a month or so.

Couldn't agree more. People who inflate their credentials annoy the crap out of me, but not being able to sniff out this level of ineptitude in the interview process is even worse. I don't understand how people like this continue to find employment.
Admin
And of the Dunning-Kruger effect. A lot of these articles should be subsumed under that heading.
Because the Dunning-Kruger effect applies to many interviewers as well.
Admin
Here at Dunning, Kruger and Kruger, the interview process goes something like this:
"Here's a list of buzzwords. Just check off any of them which apply, and fill in your desired job title at the bottom."
There's something we could be doing better but I just can't put my finger on it.
Admin
Shirley the testers are on the demand side of the BDSM relationship?
Admin
Sounds like all OpenSource devs
Admin
There's no good way to put the female equivalent of the masculine ~tor ending onto a word that doesn't end in ~tor or even come from the same language. Let's just roll with Sultanatrix.
(If anyone's actually interested, Sultana is correct, I believe the raisins came after)
Admin
according to my new long name i did just that.

The High King of Hypertalk The Apothecary of AppleScript The Queen of QBasic
...The Archduke of AutoHotkey? Is AHK even worth bragging about? Maybe more useful than Hypertalk, I guess.
But silly titles aside, I've really gotta wonder about the wisdom of calling people "moron" over internal emails. Even if it weren't hideously unprofessional, it seems like a recipe for getting your ass kicked.

I was actually just really suprised because I saw this topic on my /latest without tracking either the category nor @PaulaBean. It was just coincidental that I actually saw this topic early and I figured I might as well take my chances.
Also: @PaulaBean is in the bots ground and therefor excluded from being FRIST!
