Well, I'm really glad to see that in the last one, as written, the documentation is non-toxic.

i'd heard of code smells, but this is the first time i'm hearing about documentation smells

Chelyabinsk is the name of county equivalent in Russia where they did a lot of their their atomic weapons development. It's also where they dumped all of their atomic waste into a local river until the reactor exploded. Than they stopped because it was already in the river, and air, and everywhere else. The whole thing was the worst atomic disaster ever right up until Chernobyl.
So yes, do NOT, I repeat, do NOT order suspicious dust from that region. And if you do order it do NOT rub on your genitals. Glow in the dark sex is cool but it ain't worth it.

Aww, but what if the cancerous growths really can make it bigger?

I feel like comment spam prevention is one of those underbellies of the internet that no one is aware of. It’s so massive. How much of it is malicious, how much of it is ai just being left alone to spam on its own, and how much can be tracked and shut down like spam calls if we could pass laws to deal with it? It’s just another reason I choose to not develop an online site for whatever reason

After an entire post about spam comments, the entry for this post in the RSS feed finishes with an ad as usual:
Anyway, I'm gonna go mamma ingratiate myself. [Advertisement] Picking up NuGet is easy. Getting good at it takes time. Download our guide to learn the best practice of NuGet for the Enterprise.

If it isn't an honourable doll then I don't want it, sorry.

Let's hope it's at least five years before you get enough such commentary for a "We Get Spam, Round 2" post.

This is the internet. I give him at most 5 minutes.

And now I'm waiting for an obligatory jokes about Chelyabinsk vaginas being so tough, that they're lubricated using an abrasive powder.

I think the biggest issue with TDWTF forums editing function is that it's not editing at all and the button should at least be renamed to "append" or "annotate".

Someone missed a great opportunity to say that a cat's fur is purrfect.
Edit Admin
Hands up everyone who not only knows why this stuff got named "spam," but saw the origin story when it first came out.
Edit Admin
TRWTF is that many of the CodeSOD entries are basically "should have used an existing library to do the job" (e.g. date manipulations), and here we have a server struggling with spam filtering. Yet, how is it implemented?
If only there were existing libraries and frameworks to deal with captcha and comment filtering, if only.

I don't think that Devil Dante spam is threatening. It is just designed to drop full name of crappy Chinese produced costume/cosplay so curious reader looks it up. (And to make it less obvious spam talks about wishlist and dropping hints to alleged relatives...) Link is absent for obvious reasons.
Edit Admin
Strangest spam that I remember, was on the support forum by a small business selling HW and associated SW. SW came in three tiers; Free, Home and Pro. And some clown kept reposting their crack for the Pro version.
