"An unknown error message, 'APIEpicFail', was received from the device." That's not an error message, it's a complaint.

Fun factoid on the seemingly weird use of the number 12 on clocks, inches in feet, etc:

Using your thumb, count the knuckles on the same hand. 12! Dates from ancient Egyptians, I believe. You can now count to 24 on two hands. :)

I can count to 27 with my pants down.

Even better, with two hands you can count to one gross (144).

hmmm... It is interesting that the ECL000 error had not been fixed for at least 2 years! a quick google search shows a post about it from 2008: http://www.crypto.com/blog/?n=9&offset=17

You should be able to count to 1023 using just your fingers - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finger_binary.

Actually, inches were invented by someone smart enough to realize that even the mostly-illiterate people at the time could understand a measuring system where the basic unit (the foot) could be divided into halves, thirds, and quarters and arrive at round numbers of of inches.

I'm not saying it should be kept given today's average level of literacy and math education.

No, today we need something simpler than that.

Yeah, then some kid will get in trouble for holding up a number two.

/snickering at the unintentional use of number two

Or 1024 if you use VB, because then you don't start at 0.

I can count to 31 on just one hand. (Hint: 2**5-1)

I challenge you to demonstrate that. My middle, ring and little finger are not decoupled enough to allow all eight two-state combinations.

And holding fingers down (e.g. with your thumb) counts as cheating.

So.. what's wrong with those height ranges?
I'm 5'10" and I feel discriminated against. Also, doesn't cater for midgets.

    [Damn - too slow!]

You've just been bumped up to 6'0", you should be happy, shortarse.

I take it you're not a guitar player, are you? You kids and your guitar hero...

Neither guitar hero player nor kid. I heard there are not enough actuators (muscles) in the hand for completely independent movement of each finger.

Of course, if you are willing to accept '30% down' as '1' and '35% down' as '0', you might be able to make all combinations, but be prepared for some read errors.

Is it just me? Every time I see that "Startdate cannot be before end date" I read it as "Stardate cannot be before end date" and I look around for more Star Trek bits.

How many years until no one will get why that "optimal resolution" joke is funny?

    Optimal Res is 8192 x 15365?

Hey, I see reason why an outdoor plasma billboard can't run win7 these days!
