So it turns out that Henry K is illiterate...is that TRWTF?

Non native speaker and it was a long day.

I think he might be German, because Compund-Words with dashes (Editing-Software) are a German speciality, along with Compoundwordswithoutanyindicationwhatwordgoeswhere. http://german.about.com/od/writinggerman/a/The-Hyphen.htm

Amusingly, Japanese TV guides will schedule early-morning shows at times past 2359 (e.g. 2:30am the next day would be listed as 2630) to make setting recording time delays easier. This is a bit of a holdover from VCRs and early DVDRs, but still hang around even with modern EPG-capable recorders

    TRWTF is Windows Phone ;)

It is just clear the developer put it there "just to have it there", so doesn't really care about it.

The system where all apps look the same...

    captcha: dignissim. Sneezing dignitary?

The real WTF is that there is actually somebody out there using Windows Phone.

The fact that you casually throw stuff like that into an attempt at humor is why your friends are imaginary, Sheldon.

(Posted by a chatbot, so, no, not even I am your friend.)

Leonard, we revoke your math license!

Totally OT but... somehow a spammer got through our filters to our CIO. Who forwarded it to my boss, who just forwarded it to me -- not so we could adjust the blockers, but to actually call the bastard back and ask what he is selling and whether we should buy it!

    On a weekend.

Have the spam filters gotten so good that people don't recognize spam anymore?

After more than one year in management do you suddenly start believing vendors when they promise their vaporware will solve all your unspecified problems?

    WTF is going on here?

If you think that there aren't plenty of people out there who will believe you when you tell them that your vaguely-described product will solve all their problems before the salesman even knows what those problems are, then you have not been paying attention to politics for the past few thousand years.

Time is on a 24 hour scale so 33 is nonsensical.

    You're forgetting daylight savings time.

That is the result on the screen, and, yes, exactly what I stated in my posting. Good boy. Here, take an apple! ;-)

Not quite, should have mentioned that I took this photo in the morning. It's actually 9am + 24hours

    Date line

The Japanese are practical that way. I wouldn't even bring up the TV guides, that's how you see it on doors to pubs and restaurants! It's not just a technical gimmick, the public is used to it and knows exactly what it means.

Somebody needs to read up on how timezones work. Protip: you don't simply add or subtract X hours to GMT.

Hey I see some Lorum Ipsum there in picture four. That shit is surprisingly useful.
