    2 WTF's in one pic:
    1. The Screen saver shown on the sign.
    2. The sign on the roof of a 4x4.

That you SpectateSwamp? The sign just appears to be on the 4x4. The Explorer is carrying a luggage bag on top. The sign is on the side the road, it only appears to be on top due to 3d perspective relative to the camera position.

The second billy goat stepped onto a bridge....

How the hell could you screw temperature up like that?

They did a calculation of 60-70 deg Celsius to Fahrenheit. Probably forgot to hit shift on the calculator or something.

TRWTF is that they don't know that 140 deg Celsius wine would be vapor.

I presume you meant Fahrenheit to Celsius. As I said above, the range was supposed to be 14-16 so it really was just a case of adding an extraneous zero to each number.

I favour the idea of they changed F to C (using the algorithm for C to F), so instead of getting 16-21C they got 140-160C I think it's more likely a broken formula that TWO extra 0s (and I think 16-21C is a more realistic cellar temp for Reds than 14-16C)

    But, I'm just sayng....

Actually they considered it part of New France and were rather upset when British and Irish settlers started coming in.

    Current Charges --> $28.74 With 3% discount --> $27.88 You paid already --> $26.57 Balance (with 3% discount) --> $27.88 - $26.57 = $1.31

See? Not a WTF at all....

As a matter of stupid trivia, being able to see the "edition" on the Windows XP logo immediately gives it away as the screen saver, provided the computer in question has ANY updates.

The RTM version of Windows XP said "Home Edition" or "Professional Edition" on the boot screen, but after SP1 it was simply changed to say "Windows XP".

It actually was changed after SP2.

To me the real WTF is that someone out there on this planet has a quarterly gas bill amounting to less than $3.00. My leaks probably cost me more than that.

And I read that wine one as 140C-160C = -20C. So you can convert all your wines to ice wines.

It's latin, meaning "who". As in "Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?", and all that.
As far as I can tell, the CAPTCHA takes random words from Lorem Ipsum. (Oh dear, have I broken Alex's security now?)

Actually, TRWTF is that if you hit preview, you get a different CAPTCHA image with the same word in it, thus providing CAPTCHA-cracking bots loads and loads of test images to aim to get a word from.

(Incidentally, I just tried entering the wrong CAPTCHA to see what would happen, and it gave me the same word again, different image. So not only do CAPTCHA-cracking bots have an infinite number of test images, they also have an infinite number of tries to guess the word...)

Well, as someone already pointed out, and I implied, the correct values are posted on the original website, and they are 14C - 16C. So feel free to 'sayng' whatever you want to 'sayng' but it's simply just not the case in this matter. And I wouldn't want to drink red wine with you if 16-21 is acceptable to you. You might drink it at room temperature but certainly shouldn't be storing it like that.

    Nope. Here's what happened...

14⁰C - 16⁰C, with proper 0 digits in superscript, got converted to 140C - 160C by a copy-paste that converted it to unformatted text. Then someone who knew how to use charmap helpfully fixed it by adding degree symbols, apparently not realizing that 140ºC - 160ºC was probably not correct.

    Happens all the time, mostly when you're dealing with math, e.g. x³ - 2x² + 1 becomes x3 - 2x2 + 1.
