Guys, I have some terrible news. I can't get into the details now, but Alex has suddenly and unexpectedly passed. Remy and I will hash this out over the weekend and decide if dissolution of this site is the right answer.
Pray for Alex's family, please.

Congratulate him on finally achieving over 45% on his basic literacy and numeracy (that's what you mean by "passed", yeah?), such that he can go out and get a proper job and will therefore no longer be able to support this site. After all, 99% of the postings here (including this one, natch) are his sock puppets, correct?

Why is it that if a Latino's main self-identification is his race, everything is great, but if a white's main self-identification is with the white race, he's a racist?

You believe there's a real Remy Martin?
Well, there actually is a real Remy Martin, look it up in google.

Speaking of wtf: buying a 1.5L bottle of cognac for $34,000. W. T. F.
Admin
Much better. :) Although, now I suspect a member of PETA will criticise me for my insensitivity in using the term "whiny bitch".
Oh wait...is your son posting as Nagesh? Because that would make perfect sense...

It's better than a bunch of them dumped in various network directory, except for seating_chart_021211_fixed.pdf which was one Sally's HD before she got that virus. And and seating_chart_032311.pdf which was lost when Eddy overwrote it accidentally.
Baby steps man baby steps. I mean yeah they could be using the tool better, but they actually use it an like it. Unlike a number of software monkeys I work with.
The WTF is all the document types and formats where no diff tool exists. I deal with PCB layout and Schematics all the time, I'd really really like a diff tool for those.

They a WHOLE directory?
Accidentally, I'm sure.

Because I haven't gotten around to registering a fake account yet. It's all part of the democratic process.

I know exactly how Sharepoint comes to be implemented badly - I've seen it first-hand.
Person works at $COMPANY_1 where Sharepoint has been set up properly. What that person does not know is that setting up Sharepoint was not a "click.. click... click... job done" event, it was a carefully planned deployment which took a few months of work. As others have said, it provides you a framework but not a great deal else.
Person leaves $COMPANY_1, joins $COMPANY_2 which doesn't use sharepoint - or indeed anything analogous. Before long, person is clamouring for Sharepoint to be installed.
There may be some resistance initially, but it's soon crushed when someone with similar positive experience of Sharepoint (and, for that matter, similar ignorance of the work that went into turning it from a framework into a positive experience) joins $COMPANY_2 in a senior role. Reluctantly, the IT department installs Sharepoint. Not really knowing what they're installing, they simply click "next.. next.. next." then send out an email to everyone saying "There, job done. It's at this URL. Let us know if you run into any trouble."
The people who haven't used Sharepoint look at it briefly and think "Is that it? Not sure what all the fuss is about."
The people who have used a well-done Sharepoint installation look at it and say "Is that it? Where's X? Where's Y? Shouldn't we have Z somewhere? This is about half of what we wanted, and it's not even the most important half". If they ever work out what's happened, they keep their mouth shut because it would mean admitting they'd been clamouring with the company to set this product up while being almost entirely ignorant of what the product was.
Usually, there's one or two who know precisely what happened. They're not in a sufficiently senior role to do much about it, however.

Nagesh is pretending? He seems to me to be an Indian pretending to be an Indian (kinda like a sheep in sheeps's clothing). That is, his pretense is only to hide the fact that he genuinely is Indian....
He sure know a lot about Indian food and culture and stuffs.

Hey Mr Amonynous.....it seeming to me like you being very much outnumbered. If you are having anymore doubts, please ring some number (doesn't matter - they all go same call centre)
Admin
Although (despite his situation) I'm surprised someone would come in a place like this and not expect it to be full of insensitive morons, you (trwtf) have truly shown yourself to be a fuckwit.
Hope Karma gets you and yours!

I'm afraid to report that I have some really sad news.
At 7:35pm, March 17th, Alex lost conciousness and was taken to the emergency room with breathing complications. He was diagnosed with advanced-stage pnemonia and immediately placed on breathing tubes in the IC unit. Because of his low oxygen levels, he slipped into a coma. The doctors say they expect him to come out of it, but they don't know if it will be weeks or month. I'm sure he knows you all wish him a speedy recovery, and if theirs anyone who is interested in taking up the mantle in the meantime, send a writing sample and any past work to mailto:[email protected]. You can also send any well-wishes to his family, and I'll make sure there passed along.
