If I recall correctly, it's possible to install Word for just one user, so technically, your computer will have the data, but the current user wouldn't have the proper permissions. I think...

Snarf is correct. I recognized the packaging too and it is in fact Maruchan (oriental flavor). So, not a WTF.

Taking a train is not walking, tho i am not sure why taking a ferry is.

  • Josh (unregistered) in reply to fuzzix

Google Maps has three options: drive, walk, and public transit. I think trains are considered public transit, whereas ferries are considered walking.

Still a WTF, perhaps, but not as bad.

    The Wanderer:
    Tom Hanlin:
Please note, ramen actually does go bad fairly rapidly. It's soaked in oil. The oil goes rancid. Won't kill you, but it tastes foul, and you'll be chewing antacids for hours.
Um... cup ramen maybe, but not "brick"-style instant ramen, surely? As far as I can tell, the latter is nothing but a block of dried noodles and a separate packet of seasoning powder; I've had it be perfectly good after sitting untouched in a cabinet for months on end, and I've certainly never needed antacids from eating it.

And if the color and slight wrinkliness of the packaging is any guide, that's definitely not cup ramen in the picture...

14 grams of fat per block should go rancid at some point.

Try telling Google Maps that you want to drive from Los Angeles, California, to Honolulu, Hawaii. It will tell you to drive up to Portland, Oregon, and then kayak to Hawaii.

remove the geocoding from the google maps URL and it gives a sensible route...

  • Julian Nicholls (unregistered)

It used to be possible to ask Google Maps for a route from London to New York and it would tell you to swim the Atlantic.

Zeebrugge is not in France but in Belgium.

You removed all the stuff after that, too, didn't you? If you do that, it's back to a straight route, but it shows driving directions, not walking directions. Switch back to walking, and you get the ferry route again.

I've encountered issues like the failed conversion of an object of a given class to what appears to be the exact smae class. I think it can be caused by mismatched dll versions, so the classes have the same name but aren't actually the same class internally. Which means you're doing something really wrong.

I dragged the line to Carlisle to make sure the single (blue colored) highway going north would be used. The answer is even more disturbing.

    Try it!

Well i suppose the ferries are included in searches, but not trains. So the result is... surprising.

Another WTF would be mistaking Belgium for France, which after all is the 2nd or 3rd closest neighbour country, and was conceived by the Brits out of fear for the lowlands' naval potential..

  • Arvind (unregistered)

In case of the long walk, TRWTF is that the user didn't bother reading the caution note. They did try telling you they could be missing sidewalks and pedestrian paths.

You've never caught a train in the UK before, right?
