Well, for x86-based tablets there still is PCIe, just not cards plugged in conventional PCIe slots but probably on-board or daughter boards connected via flex cables. Lots of early on-board USB 3.0 controllers use PCIe and you don't have a physical PCIe card visible.
Ethernet port on a tablet isn't really that weird either. A quick Google search came up with a bunch of images. It's just like any other tablet, but just a bit thicker. If they really want to make it thin, they can even make a proprietary external Ethernet port connector.
Admin
It's been a while since I saw a tablet with actual PCI Express connectors sticking out on the bottom, though.

The Mathematica error text looks like base64, but doesn’t seems to decode into something readable...

Isn't Comcast's way of telling you your connection sucks is the fact that it's supplied by Comcast?

I don't get the WTF in the last one. Is it that someone has set the Low battery level to
<edit> Damn, it took me literally 3 days to notice it was set to 77%, not 23%. :-| Now that's a WTF! </edit>2377% in the Windows power options?Admin

I don't think you can set that value anywhere (you can't on Win8.1 anyway).
Anyway, the :wtf: is that 77% charge is apparently 'low' ;)
<!-- Emoji'd by MobileEmoji 0.2.0-->Admin
You can set it on Windows 7 for sure. I don't know about 8.1, I'll check it later.
The default for low is 10% (on Windows 7), so someone messed with it.

Re the Mathematica error:
Manager: You can't show the actual errors to the end-users, it has security concerns! Developer: Security? Any security issues are fixed by encryption, of course!

It really is just a representation of a PCIe block.
Like how we sometimes still use a floppy to represent the action "save".

(Yes, I realise that the situation with web style management and presentation is a lot better than it used to be, but unless someone wants to disabuse me of the notion, I'm going, as a "for example", to allude to the messed-up table formatting code in Netscape Navigator which survived into Firefox. As far as I know - which might not be very much - it's still there.)
Admin
Well, neither do I, actually, because when I built my current main PC, almost four years ago (it's past time for a new one, I think), the motherboard had no connector for a floppy drive cable, and I couldn't see any virtue in buying a USB-connected drive. Anything still on floppies that I wanted to recover could be copied to the new machine via the old machine and the network. In all that time, I've powered up the old machine exactly once, just to make sure it still works.
Curiously, the motherboard didn't have any parallel ATA/IDE connectors either. Good thing internal shiny-biscuit drives are available in SATA, then...

Another :wtf: is that it predicts only 1 more hour of usage out of a 77% charged battery.
Admin
I dunno; some laptops have pretty crap batteries. And estimating how long they'll last isn't exactly a precise thing…
<!-- Emoji'd by MobileEmoji 0.2.0-->Admin
Of course, this machine was configured and drop-shipped to a customer so I couldn't keep it :-(

Admin
Also mine is switchable between onboard and discrete GPU, and on battery with discrete GPU the fan goes into Harrier takeoff mode and the battery life goes rather short.
Admin
The battery life gets worse as the machine ages; I've got one (older) laptop where battery life is now around 45 minutes or so, unlike the nearly 4 hours I used to get when it was new.
It's not my current main laptop. :)

The Amazon one isn't much of :wtf:. Retailers frequently prey on a shoppers multi-packs save money instinct. Sometimes they prey on those instincts by just keeping the same per-unit price, sometimes the per unit price increases as you buy a larger pack. There is nothing new about this.
Also, as has been pointed out by @nerd4sale and @RaceProUK, the last one isn't a Windows :wtf: so much as a configuration and user :wtf:. Did Ben A. really expect the exclamation to go away after he looked at the message? Fix your power options, and then it'll go away.
The standards for the front page Error'ds seem to be slipping. We get better ones here in the forum.
Admin
Yeah, battery life estimation sucks. I've got a bluetooth headset that warns me when it thinks it has 15 minutes of talk time left. I can usually get at least half an hour out of it after that.
Admin
But also the pictures don't match the pack details.
Admin
So? Do you really expect the pictures to accurately reflect the pack count all the time? Besides, the article complained about the math, not the pictures.
Admin
The Antagonist login makes sense. It's not there to keep people out, just to block robots.
Admin
Given my current place of employment (We support Amazon sellers), Amazon is ALWAYS TRWTF.

For the young vixen was cunning and mischievous, and she did begat the Bot of Socks. And when the time was right, she did unleash said Bot of Socks upon the place.
And then there came many copies, some clones, some imitators. Forthwith, they caused much wailing and knashing of teeth.
The vixen, in her displeasure, did set out to rei
gn in the Bot of Socks and its many clones And after many trials, success was begat, and peace returned to the place. The moral of this tale: no matter how well you prepare, you can never prevent the coming of the Bot.
OK, so maybe @accalia wasn't the first to write a Discourse bot. But quite a few are based on her code.

I think that's what the real error'd (TRE?) was.

:+1: 9.8/10 would lol again.
Admin
Methinks thou dost be biased toward the hedgehog.
Admin
do you disagree with the lol of the poem?
(note i'm not disagreeing with your statement even as i counterpoint ;-))
Admin
No, but I Would rate it more like a 7.7/10.
Admin
I've definitely written worse

Mathematica base64-encodes some types of data in the file. In this case it thinks there's a syntax error in such a section. If you opened the file in a text editor and went to that particular line number, you'd see that literal text, and probably a whole bunch more of it.
Admin
But it has the requisite spellaring and grandma bugs!

Maybe TI knows something we don't...
