It turned up in a GIS which included the word fox, and certainly didn't include the word wolf...

Maybe the pawprints are vulpine?

hard to tell, as poth vilpini and canini are canids their prints are remarkably similar.
however given the context of the image i'm more inclined to believe that it was a human miscategorization by someone who doesn't know their phylogenetic orders
