The last modification date is not a WTF. First, it's easy to alter the date for files manually, and second, it looks like the person who created that zip files just had her local clock set wrong.

that number is -1 in 64 bit

I think the person who wrote the Microsoft email one must have handled security on Home Depot's online gift cards too.

    Gee, thanks, Captain Obvious.

Is a single one of these interesting in any way whatsoever? I don't see it, myself.

Can we lose the NULLs, the Lorem Ipsum dolor sit amets, maybe the BSoDs, please yes the failed mail merges, and all the other bottom-feeding crap that is recycled once a week? Please?

Oh, and actually making sure that, if you pick on Microsoft, Google, Yahoo, or even your Aunt Fanny is actually an amusing WTF, rather than some pitiful failed bit of name-calling ... that would be lovely, too.

    End of rant.

The first one is good antispam practices. You need to train the algos on all types of good and bad mail.

On the Microsoft account one, TRWTF is the person using their recovery email address as their Microsoft account username. One-factor security FTL.

    HER local clock? :)

  • foxyshadis (unregistered)

You guys are asking WAY too much of error'd. It's just a quick chuckle to liven up your Friday morning, when presumably you're mentally burnt out and would prefer some quick diversion over some deep problem.

The last post was submitted by me. I can say that the clock was not manually set. I just noticed it when accessing the log directory. You are right. Somebody could also manipulate the files, but why should somebody have the need to manipulate the file timestamps?

I just had to laugh when noticing the timestamps, that's why I shared it with TheDailyWTF for the "Error'd" section

@All: Have a nice day and don't take live too seriously ;-)

I don’t understand the mail chimp one. Can someone explain?
